Crafted using advanced CNC machining, this forged piston boasts dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm for exceptional precision.

The piston is constructed from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content. This material composition ensures the same reliability as original equipment (OE) pistons while delivering superior resistance and excellent performance. The piston's perfectly smooth profile promotes regular airflow and ideal flame propagation for optimal combustion.

Some piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating, applied through screen printing, which further reduces friction, boosting performance and extending durability. Athena's commitment to advanced technical solutions and the highest quality standards, equivalent to or exceeding OE production, guarantees both performance and reliability.

Each piston is meticulously engineered in Italy by Athena's R&D department. They undergo rigorous testing on engine dynamometer benches under progressive stress loads and on the track in extreme conditions to validate their performance.

This piston kit is specifically designed for Athena Big Bore Cylinders and includes piston rings manufactured in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride). These rings are designed for reduced friction with the cylinder, leading to higher performance and increased longevity. The rings perfectly adapt to the cylinder liner even at low tangential load.

The complete kit contains the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. All components are replaceable and interchangeable for convenient maintenance.
