The material structure is refined using a hi-tech Heat Treatment process. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating has been introduced, offering increased hardness and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, extending coating durability.
