It is suitable for light to medium-duty chain maintenance applications. The kit is supplied with multiple breaking pins, guides, and anvils for use across common chain sizes. Rivet head grinding is recommended before breaking larger chains. A chain link press is not included. Features include suitability for drive chains and some cam chains, ability to rivet hollow-nosed master link pins, and a recommendation for light to medium-duty use. Specifications include a chain breaking range of #35 to #630 pitch. For chain sizes #520 and above, grinding the rivet head is recommended before use. Supplied with three general pin sizes: 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm. Included breaking pin sizes are 2.2 mm, 2.9 mm and 3.8 mm. Included pin guides are a 2.2 mm upper guide and a 2.2 mm lower guide. An included riveter pin and anvils are 3 mm and 6 mm. The tool has an investment-cast, hardened body and a redesigned body bolt.
