Gas Gas MC 125 2021-2023 Grade E 53.98mm Twin Ring Piston
Vertex pistons are manufactured using low-expansion silicon-charged aluminum alloys. The blank parts are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, and the material structure is refined using a high-tech heat treatment process with solubilization by quenching in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid in break-in and reduce friction. A new phosphate coating has been introduced for increased hardness and surface porosity, improving adhesion and durability of the molybdenum coating. This piston is 53.98mm in diameter and features twin rings.
