Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. They are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a high-tech heat treatment. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion for enhanced coating durability. Piston diameter is 39.48mm.
