Gas Gas MC /EC 250 2021-2023 1.6mm Oversize 67.95mm Twin Ring Piston
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon depending on the application. They are produced using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a high-tech heat treatment with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, similar to that used in Formula One engines, is also available, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion for extended coating durability. This piston is 1.6mm oversize, with a diameter of 67.95mm, and features a twin ring design.
