HONDA CR 125 +0.50mm OVERSIZE 54.45mm TWIN RING REPLICA PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex (low expansion) Silicon aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, with material structure refined by a hi-tech Heat Treatment process in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and software with diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Every piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all over, Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, extending durability.
