Machining is done on the latest CNC machines with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion. This is a Grade B replica piston with twin rings and a 66.35mm bore.
