HONDA CR 250 1997-2001 GRADE C 66.36mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex silicon charged aluminium alloys. The blank parts are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, with material structure refined through a hi-tech heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes for the final application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, with increased hardness and light surface porosity, offers superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating.
