Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, with material structure refined through a hi-tech heat treatment. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software, with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and reduced friction. A new, all-over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and light surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability. This is an oversize piston measuring 67.45mm with twin rings.

These blanks are produced through either gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a sophisticated heat treatment process in an automatic HT implant. Every piston is machined using high-precision CNC technology and diamond tooling to achieve exact specifications and superior surface finishes. To ensure longevity and smooth operation, these pistons feature a multi-layer coating system:
