Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction, or a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion.
