HONDA RS 125 2003-2009 GRADE C 53.96mm FLAT TOP .78mm RING
Vertex pistons are manufactured using proprietary Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content. These pistons are produced using either gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a high-tech heat treatment process in an automatic implant with hot water solubilization. Machining is performed using advanced CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A newer Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion for extended durability. This specific piston is grade C, 53.96mm, flat top, with a 0.78mm ring.

FULL DESCRIPTION
Vertex High-Performance Flat Top Piston
Engineered for excellence, this Vertex piston is designed to meet the rigorous demands of high-performance racing. Trusted by professional racing teams, Vertex utilizes advanced manufacturing techniques to ensure optimal strength, durability, and engine efficiency. Each piston is precision-crafted to provide a perfect balance of weight and structural integrity.
Advanced Material Technology
Vertex pistons are constructed from specialized low-expansion silicon-charged aluminum alloys. This material choice is critical for maintaining structural stability under extreme thermal stress. The refinement process includes state-of-the-art heat treatment in automated implants, ensuring consistent material density and performance reliability throughout the entire component.
Precision Engineering and Surface Finishing
Using cutting-edge CNC machinery and diamond-tipped tooling, Vertex achieves a specific surface finish tailored for high-output environments. The piston features a specialized Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating, which significantly reduces friction during the critical break-in phase and throughout the engine operation cycle. Furthermore, the application of a phosphate coating enhances surface hardness and porosity, providing superior adhesion for the Molybdenum layer and effectively doubling the durability of the piston finish.
