KAWASAKI KX 250 1998-2001 +1.1mm OVERSIZE 67.45mm TWIN RING PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex Silicon aluminium alloys. Produced using gravity cast or hydraulic forging, blanks undergo a hi-tech heat treatment process with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston passes through rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new all over Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating for extended durability.
