KAWASAKI KX 250 2005-2008 GRADE A 66.35mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon, depending on the application. They are produced using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by heat treatment in an automatic implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A newer Phosphate Coating, used in Formula One engines, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion and durability. This is a single ring, Grade A, 66.35mm race piston.
