Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes. Material structure is refined using a heat treatment process with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and software with diamond tools. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness and superior adhesion qualities for the Molybdenum Coating, extending durability. This piston is 44.47mm.
