KAWASAKI KXF 250 2021-2022 GRADE C 77.97mm G.P RACERS CHOICE 15.05:1
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys, silicon charged at 12%, 18%, or 21% depending on the application. They are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, with material structure refined by a hi-tech heat treatment process. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, used in Formula One engines, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling durability. This piston is 77.97mm with a 15.05:1 compression ratio.

FULL DESCRIPTION
Vertex G.P. Racers Choice High Compression Piston
Upgrade your engine performance with the Vertex G.P. Racers Choice piston. Engineered for competitive racing applications, this high compression piston features a 15.05:1 ratio, providing the power and throttle response required for demanding track conditions. Built with precision and durability in mind, Vertex pistons are the preferred choice for riders looking to maximize engine output.
Advanced Manufacturing and Material Quality
Vertex pistons are manufactured using exotic Low-Ex (low expansion) silicon-charged aluminum alloys, with silicon content tailored to the specific application for optimal thermal stability. The blanks are produced through a refined gravity cast or hydraulic forging process, followed by state of the art heat treatment in an automatic HT implant. This process ensures a robust material structure capable of handling the high stresses of performance riding.
Precision Engineering and Friction Reduction
Every piston is machined using high precision CNC technology and diamond tooling to achieve exact surface finishes. To ensure longevity and smooth operation, these pistons feature a specialized dual-coating system:
- Molybdenum Bisulphite Coating: A black surface treatment that assists during the critical piston break-in period and significantly reduces internal friction.
- Phosphate Coating: Borrowing technology from Formula One, this coating increases surface hardness and provides light surface porosity. This allows for superior adhesion of the Molybdenum coating, effectively doubling its durability.
