They are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, with material structure refined by a high-tech heat treatment process. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines, software, and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities to the Molybdenum Coating, doubling coating durability. Piston diameter is 54.19mm, flat top.
