KTM SX / GS 250 1996-1999 +0.50MM OVERSIZE 67.95mm TWIN RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon. The pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is done using CNC machines with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion for longer durability. This is a +0.50MM oversize 67.95mm twin ring piston.
