Manufactured from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with high silicon content for reliability, resistance, and performance. Features a perfectly smooth profile for regular flow and flame propagation. Some pistons have a molybdenum disulfide coating on the skirts to reduce friction, enhance performance, and improve durability. Piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) for increased retention and durability. Kit includes piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. Athena Forged Piston Kit B 77mm
This Athena Forged Piston Kit is engineered for superior performance and durability in off-road motorcycles. Manufactured using advanced reverse extrusion and cutting-edge CNC machining, this piston ensures exceptional dimensional accuracy, with tolerances less than 0.01 mm. It is constructed from a specialized high-performance aluminum alloy rich in silicon, offering the reliability of Original Equipment (OE) pistons with enhanced strength and performance.
The piston features a smooth profile designed to optimize airflow and ensure perfect flame propagation. Some piston skirts are further enhanced with a molybdenum disulfide coating, applied through screen printing, to significantly reduce friction, thereby boosting performance and extending the lifespan of the component.
Each Athena piston is the result of advanced technical solutions and the highest quality standards, meeting or exceeding OE production specifications for guaranteed performance and reliability. Engineered in Italy by the Athena R&D department, every piston undergoes rigorous testing on engine dynamometer benches under progressive stress loads, and is subsequently validated on the track under extreme conditions.
This piston kit includes the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. All included components are replaceable and interchangeable. The piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings, such as PVD or chromium nitride, to increase durability and lifespan.
