Machining is done using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed from Formula One engine technology, offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability. This piston is 95.45mm with a 13.0:1 compression ratio.
