Pistons are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic implant with hot water quenching. Machining is performed using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, porosity, superior adhesion, and double the coating durability. This is a GRADE D 66.36mm twin ring piston.
