TM EN 300 2008 - 2019 GRADE C 71.95mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% Silicon, depending on the application. The pistons are manufactured using gravity casting or hydraulic forging processes. The material structure is refined using a hi-tech Heat Treatment process with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines, software, and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all over Phosphate Coating has been introduced, which has a slight hardness increase and light surface porosity, exhibiting superior adhesion qualities for the Molybdenum Coating and extending coating durability. This piston is GRADE C and measures 71.95mm, featuring a single ring.
