Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability. This piston is +2.00mm oversize with a 55.95mm diameter.
