They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic implant with hot water quenching. Machining is performed on CNC machines using diamond tools for specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and reduced friction, and a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, porosity, and extended durability. This piston has a bore of 53.96mm and a single ring.
