They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic implant with hot water quenching. Machining is performed on CNC machines with diamond tools for specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and a Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion. This piston is Grade B and 46.96mm with a single ring.
