The design focuses on improving overall functionality, performance, and safety, while decreasing weight and reducing material volume. This results in a boot with a greater range of movement and flexibility, offering better control over flexion and torsion forces for increased rider confidence and protection. Enhanced functionality, performance, and safety are achieved through unique technologies: the Frontal Flexion Control Frame, Asymmetrical Dual-pivot Arms, the patented Dynamic Heel Compression Protection Shock Absorber integrated into a redesigned foot shell, and a slimmer, more streamlined outsole. The Tech 10 is lighter due to a redesign of all components to reduce volume and weight, using new, lighter, more durable material composites. New cold-forged aluminum buckles offer easier operation, durability, and self-alignment. Breakthrough innovation includes Alpinestars patented Frontal Flex Frame, combining with dual front and rear blade connectors for a seamless flexion control system from foot shell to shin plate, offering high performance double motion control to prevent over-compression and hyper-extension. The dual pivot arms on the boot frame allow for natural ankle movement, vertical compression control, and improved impact protection. The asymmetrical medial and lateral double pivot system provides improved flexibility and precision. The redesigned biomechanical inner ankle brace offers lighter, anatomically redesigned torsion arms for increased movement and control, providing vertical and lateral protection and progressive damping of torsional forces. The boot features a low-profile, pull-on design for reduced material and weight, innovative flexion inserts, TPU protection, and shock-absorbing padding on the heel and ankles. The ultra-thin and flexible forefoot area increases sensitivity and control. A dual compound removable anatomic footbed includes EVA for comfort and support. The patented Dynamic Heel Compression Protector (DHCP) is built into the single-piece co-injected foot chassis, featuring a collapsible heel area with expanded poly-foam to absorb high impact energies during a crash, reducing the effect of excessive energy transfer to the ankle and lower leg. Construction includes anatomical shin and calf plates, a slimmer, more streamlined design, and a dual density compound rear blade system for enhanced protection. The energy dissipating shin plate has a new anatomic design for reduced surface area and weight saving. The completely redesigned sole features proprietary grip sculpturing for improved foot-peg performance, grip, and mud and water run-off. The exclusive dual compound sole is seamlessly integrated to the multi-density foot base structure. The sole offers superior durability, grip, and feel. The central sole insert features micro grip and side hooking grip design and is easily replaceable. The anatomically optimized triple buckle closure system is redesigned for weight saving and ergonomics, featuring a nylon and fiberglass compound for durability and strength. New slim-line buckles include high-impact bridge closures, cold forged for precision and strength, with a contra-closure system for double security and a quick release/locking system with self-aligning, memory design. All buckles are easily replaceable. The innovative, lightweight upper construction combines advanced microfiber and impact and abrasion resistant TPU shell. The foot shell features five different compounds in a single lightweight piece for strength and flexibility. It includes heel and toe protection resistant to abrasion and impact, and an integrated shank for support. Frontal protection has a dual closure system with an internal microfiber flap and hook and loop fasteners for a precise, micro-adjustable fit. A soft microfiber gaiter seals out water and dirt entry.
