OE spacers typically wear out within a year of hard riding. OE wheel spacers should be inspected and replaced as needed during every bearing service. Water and dirt act as grinding compounds between the seal face and the spacer’s surface. Once the grooves are deep enough, the sealing surface is lost, allowing water and dirt to pass through and contaminate the bearing. All Balls aluminum spacers feature a hardened steel shell pressed over the aluminum to provide superior wear resistance. Manufactured using 52100 bearing steel that is through-hardened, precision ground, and plated for long-lasting service. Prevents water and dirt from grinding between wheel bearing seals and soft OEM aluminum spacers, which can cause grooves and allow bearing contamination.
