Designed for Athena Big Bore Cylinders, this kit is crafted from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, ensuring the reliability of original equipment while providing enhanced resistance and superior performance. Produced using advanced CNC machining tools, this piston offers dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm for precision engineering.
The piston features a perfectly smooth profile for regular flow and optimal flame propagation. Some piston skirts are treated with a molybdenum disulfide coating, applied by screen printing, to further reduce friction, boost performance, and extend durability. Each piston is engineered in Italy and rigorously tested on dynamometer benches and on the track to validate its performance in extreme conditions.
This piston kit includes the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. The piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase retention and durability, ensuring they adapt perfectly to the cylinder liner even at low tangential load. All components are replaceable and interchangeable.
