Liqui Moly Brake Fluid DOT 4 is a synthetic brake fluid formulated from glycol ethers, alkyl polyglycols, and glycol ether esters. It contains corrosion inhibitors to protect metallic brake components and reduce oxidation at elevated temperatures, thereby preventing the formation of acid-containing decomposition products. This brake fluid is designed to extend the operating life of components in hydraulic brake and clutch systems. It maintains high wet and dry boiling points, ensuring safe braking performance even after moisture absorption over extended use. Special moisture scavengers help prevent the formation of steam bubbles, making it suitable for use in ABS brake systems. Features include high wet and dry boiling points for enhanced safety, excellent protection against steam bubble formation, superior low-temperature performance, outstanding viscosity-temperature behaviour, and excellent compatibility with elastomers. It provides high lubricity for all moving components in hydraulic brake circuits and has high thermal stability throughout its service life. It is miscible and compatible with high-quality synthetic brake fluids. Technical data: Dry boiling point >260°C, Wet boiling point >165°C, Viscosity at –40°C ≤1400mm²/s, Viscosity at 100°C 2.0–2.6mm²/s, Density at 20°C 1.055–1.075g/cm³, pH value at 20°C 7.5–9.0, Flash point 125°C. Colour is yellow. Suitable for all disc and drum brake systems, as well as motor vehicle clutch systems requiring synthetic brake fluid. Compatible with conventional brake fluid bleeding devices.
