Steel separator plates are included to help prevent premature driven plate wear, oil contamination, and loss of stack height. Swaged aluminium carriers are designed to spread load on the clutch basket and help reduce basket "dogging". Pin-planished steel plates improve oil spread across clutch surfaces.
