Gas Gas FSE 450 2003-2004 Grade C 94.97mm STD Compression
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex silicon aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, with material structure refined through a high-tech heat treatment process. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes for the intended application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston is Grade C with 94.97mm STD Compression.
