Gas Gas MC 125 2021-2023 Grade A 53.94mm Race Evolution Piston
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex Silicon aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon depending on the application. The manufacturing process uses gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities to the Molybdenum Coating, doubling the coating's durability. This piston is Grade A and 53.94mm.
