Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all-over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability. This piston is Grade C, 94.97mm, with a 13.6:1 high compression ratio.
