HONDA CR 125 2000-2003 GRADE D 53..95mm SINGLE RING REPLICA PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex (low expansion) Silicon aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Vertex pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes. The material structure is refined using a hi-tech Heat Treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes a rigorous manual and automatic quality control process. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid during piston break-in and reduce friction inside the cylinder. Vertex has also introduced a new, all over, Phosphate Coating which has a slight hardness increase combined with a light surface porosity that exhibits superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, extending the coating durability. This piston is Grade D, 53.95mm, with a single ring.
