HONDA CR 250 1997-2001 GRADE B 66.35mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quenching in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction, and also feature a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion for double durability. This piston has a 66.35mm bore and a single ring design.
