They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a high-tech heat treatment process. Machining is performed on the latest CNC machines with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all-over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston has a single ring and is 53.95mm in size.
