Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging and then refined with a heat treatment process. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling the coating's durability. This replica piston has a 53.98mm bore and a single ring.
