Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines, software, and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed from Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion for extended coating durability. This piston has a bore of 76.95mm and a compression ratio of 14.8:1.
