KTM SX / EXC 125 1994-1997 GRADE D 54.22mm
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys, silicon-charged for specific applications. They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed on CNC machines with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and some also have a new all-over Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion, doubling the coating durability. This piston is GRADE D with a diameter of 54.22mm.
