Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. They are produced using gravity cast or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process for material refinement. Machining is done using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed from Formula One technology, offers increased hardness, surface porosity, and superior adhesion for extended coating durability. This is a single ring piston, 46.45mm, Grade A.

FULL DESCRIPTION

Vertex Grade A 46.45mm Single Ring Piston

Experience superior engine performance and reliability with this premium Vertex piston. Engineered for precision and longevity, this component is designed to restore factory power levels and maintain optimal compression within your engine.

Advanced Manufacturing Technology

Vertex pistons are crafted using high-grade Low-Ex silicon-charged aluminium alloys. The manufacturing process utilizes either gravity casting or hydraulic forging to create blanks, which are then refined through a sophisticated automated heat treatment process. This ensures the structural integrity and durability required to withstand the demanding conditions of high-performance riding.

Key Features:

  • Precision Machining: Produced using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and diamond tooling for exact surface finishes.
  • Enhanced Durability: Features an all-over phosphate coating that increases surface hardness and provides superior adhesion for the friction-reducing molybdenum bisulphite finish.
  • Reduced Friction: The molybdenum bisulphite black coating assists with the initial break-in period and significantly lowers friction during operation.
  • Rigorous Quality Control: Each unit undergoes exhaustive manual and automatic testing to meet strict quality standards.
  • Optimized Performance: Specifically engineered as a single ring configuration to maintain a balance between performance and engine longevity.

This Grade A piston is an ideal choice for riders looking for a reliable, high-performance replacement part that leverages modern advancements in material science and engineering technology.
