TM MX / EN 125 1992 - 2008 GRADE B 53.95mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex (low expansion) Silicon aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. They are produced using either gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all over Phosphate Coating has also been introduced, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities for the Molybdenum Coating, doubling its durability. This is a single ring piston with a 53.95mm bore size.

The manufacturing process employs either gravity casting or hydraulic forging to create blanks, which are then refined through a state-of-the-art heat treatment process.
