Athena Top End Piston and Gasket Kit for Honda CRF 250 (2014-2015)
This Athena Top End Piston Kit provides a perfectly matched set of essential engine components, combining a high-performance forged 4-stroke piston with a comprehensive top-end gasket kit. Developed and tested in-house by Athena, this kit is engineered for maximum reliability and enhanced performance.
The forged piston is manufactured using state-of-the-art CNC machines from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content. This ensures excellent resistance and performance comparable to OE specifications. The piston's smooth profile promotes regular airflow and optimal flame propagation. Some piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating applied by screen printing to further reduce friction, boosting performance and durability.
Included piston rings are produced in Japan and feature wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase their lifespan and retainment, ensuring less friction with the cylinder for higher performance.
