YAMAHA YZ 125 2022 GRADE D 53.97mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex silicon aluminum alloys and either gravity cast or forged blanks. A heat treatment process is completed in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. The machining process uses CNC machines, software, and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling the coating durability. This piston features a single ring and has a bore of 53.97mm.
