YAMAHA YZ 250 1999-2022 +1.10mm OVERSIZE 67.45mm TWIN RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon, depending on the application. They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating, used in Formula One engines, provides increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston is twin ring and oversize by +1.10mm to 67.45mm.
